Jakub Józef Orliński, countertenor & Michal Biel, piano

The Orliński phenomenon: a unique concert in Montreal

Famous for his extraordinary voice and natural expressiveness, Jakub Józef Orliński is also renowned for his versatility. The entire world remembers his breakdancing performance during the opening ceremonies of the Paris Olympic Games in 2024.

As one of the most beloved and celebrated opera stars of this decade, Jakub Jozef Orliński has seduced previous Festival audiences with his spellbinding performances. He returns to Montreal to present his selection of Baroque masterpieces.

Pianist Michal Biel’s sensitive, refined playing elevates the countertenor’s voice. This duo promises a perfect alchemy between a selection of German/British baroque pieces (Purcell, Handel, Bach) and modern Polish ones (Baird, Karłowicz). The promise of an exceptional musical experience!

Jakub Orliński possesses a voice of rare beauty, capable of captivating the audience from the very first notes. He combines impeccable technical mastery with overwhelming expressiveness, making every performance an unforgettable moment.” – The New York Times
