Whether you’re a lifelong classical music fan, an adventurous music lover, looking for family activities, or a student, the Montreal Bach Festival offers musical events that are sure to please. Our events are designed to offer unforgettable experiences, inviting you to discover the richness and diversity of classical music and musical forms inspired by it.
During the Festival, all generations come together. There are myriad opportunities for sharing, in a setting that can be elegant or informal, and always friendly. The Montreal Bach Festival rhymes classical music with exchange and conviviality!
Every year, the Montreal Bach Festival offers a concert designed to appeal to young audiences. It’s a chance for families to get together and discover classical music in a completely new way: the musicians speak directly to children in the audience about their instruments. Awakening curiosity and captivating audiences with the excellence of the music, this concert invites the very young to discover music for themselves.
Mini-concerts and spontaneous performances by Festival artists, rehearsals open to the public, discussions with music professionals and the Festival team… Alongside the official program, the Off-Bach offers classical music to everyone with unique moments of sharing! Entirely free of charge, this OFF festival welcomes the public to an intimate and convivial space in the heart of Montreal.
Musical gatherings and conviviality wouldn’t have as much flavor without our snacks and beverages for festival-goers. The Montreal Bach Festival is pleased to welcome you to the bistro area at most of our concert venues, before performances or during intermission, to enjoy local products accompanied by a glass of wine or a cocktail. Come and share a moment of pleasure in a relaxed atmosphere!
Our concerts take place in a variety of historic venues in the heart of Montreal. The experience is as much visual as it is auditory! Attending one of our concerts, is an exploration of the Island of Montreal in a whole new way, viewed through its unique architecture and cultural heritage. An immersive experience!
