Three of Johann Sebastian Bach’s six Cello Suites – Nos. 2, 4, and 5 – form the backbone of this program, which is structured around a dialogue across the centuries.
Between each suite, cellist Hayoung Choi performs interludes by Sarah Frances Jenkins, a contemporary composer whose writing resonates directly with Baroque architecture.
