The Akademie für Alte Musik Berlin – known to its audience as Akamus – is one of the world’s most renowned Baroque ensembles. Its return to Montreal features a program entirely dedicated to the Bach family: Johann Sebastian, of course, but also his sons Carl Philipp Emanuel and Wilhelm Friedemann, as well as his cousin Johann Bernhard.
Oboist Xenia Löffler is the soloist on this journey through family territory, from the Overture-Suite BWV 1067 to the Concerto for Oboe d’amore.
