Following an enthusiastic reception from the Festival audience in 2025, Schaghajegh Nosrati returns to Montreal to perform one of the pinnacles of the keyboard repertoire.
Her mentor, Sir Andras Schiff, describes the German-Iranian pianist’s playing as possessing “astonishing clarity, purity, and maturity” in her interpretation of Bach.
What makes this evening’s program particularly special is the depth of the connection Schaghajegh Nosrati has with this score. She does not see it as an exercise in virtuosity or a monument to be conquered, but as a conversation to be continued; a conversation that began long before her stage debut and has never ceased.
Johann Sebastian Bach (1685-1750)
