Mendelssohn’s Elias Oratorio, with Samy Moussa
Orchestra & Choir Festival International Bach Montréal

The Festival International Bach Montréal officially opens with Felix Mendelssohn’s most baroque work, the famous oratorio Elias, depicting events in the life of the Prophet Elijah. The piece is composed in the spirit of Johann Sebastian Bach and Händel, whose music Mendelssohn greatly admired. 

Samy Moussa, was born in Montréal and is based in Berlin, having a career as one of the world’s leading composers as well as a conductor.
