Closing concert

Bach Gala - Like a Christmas Oratorio...

… And it makes perfect sense! This work was included in the Christmas Oratorio. Bach changed the words, but the musical theme remains very similar. Which explains why this aria does not seem unfamiliar. This closing concert will be conducted by Clemens Schuldt, Music Director of the Orchestre symphonique de Québec, for a Christmas program before its time. The festivities continue with, among others, the Third Brandenburg Concerto and Haydn’s Queen’s Symphony, a perfect illustration of the splendors of the French court. Fine pleasures and elegance for a beautiful closing!
